The Mid-Atlantic Region comprises the states of North Carolina and Virginia.  But did you know that Virginia and North Carolina once belonged to the South Atlantic Region? But because of the distance that the women had to travel, and the growing number of graduate and undergraduate chapters in the two states, the 1953 Boule held in December of that year, established the Mid-Atlantic Region. And the first Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference was held in 1954 in Newport News, Virginia at Carver Elementary School under the dynamic leadership of Rose Butler Browne.

Today the Mid-Atlantic Region is home to over 6000 women who make up 122 chapters, 75 graduate chapters and 47 active undergraduate chapters.   This website showcases some of the extraordinary work going on in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
